@jana I went from NixOS+k3s -> Talos and it greatly simplified everything. My NAS still runs NixOS with some services but mostly services that directly deal with data on the NAS itself. Anything mostly compute lives in the Kubernetes cluster where it can run on any node.
@flifloo I'm using HAProxy, with ingress-nginx running as a DaemonSet with host networking (binding to port 443 and 80 directly) on each node. I haven't tried MetalLB personally unfortunately.
@lunareclipse@sugar The main thing I wanted to do with extensionless files is avoid always assuming the file is a PNG or the like. Looking at it with some sleep, though, I agree that it does make it a bit tricky. Might be worth revising to make the extensionless one or the other, but it can't be both (spec wise). Or maybe it's standardised on a single image format, so we have button.png (example) AND button.json.
I'll probably sit down after Cfz and rewrite it a bit lol. But I'm glad it's gotten people thinking about it.
