What happened with me was I made a great friend and we decided to start dating years after we’ve met and known each other. When I was growing mine it was the pandemic so I didn’t have to really deal with the awkward phase, but I sadly discovered that my hair is EXTREMELY oily and it would get dirty in one day, so I’d need to wash it at least daily, if not more when it got hot and I started to sweat, so I gave up on it
