I have two choices to run Home Assistant on my future . With HAOS and as a Docker container. My idea was initially HAOS, but the Pi5 will be equipped with an SSD, have 8GB and may be able to take on other tasks. That's why a OS Lite 64 bit might be more flexible. Are there any major advantages to HAOS (apart from being efficient with resources)?

Has anyone already decided this for themselves?

I actually really like this idea of one device, one system. But the Pi is quite oversized currently, so I was still thinking about using it in parallel with other services.

But it sounds like a container installation seems to be quite stable. Of course, I'll have to take care of updates manually.

Yes, obviously not ;-)

Pimox would be the choice, but only for Pi4.

But I think I'll try it with my own Docker. I have HA running productively and the Pi would then be the new system that replaces the old one. So I can try it out.

I have some RasPi running here, under continuous load or on/off. Actually, without any major issues. The advantage is that they are easy to replace. The current HA project has an SSD in it, the SD card is not used. 1000 Ethernet is also quite enough.

For a real mini server or NAS, a NUC would definitely be better, but it's a smaller project.

But I'm just switching back to HAOS, addons are not that complicated, I've seen. 🤔😅

Der bleibt vermutlich passiv gekühlt, weil der Lüfter nur angehen wird, wenn es wirklich zu heiß ist.

Eigentlich habe ich diese Lösung gewählt, weil das NVMe Board und Gehäuse mit Alu-Passivkühlung schon sehr nett ist.

Ich habe ggf. vor, noch mehr als HA zu installieren. Deswegen meine Überlegung, gleich eine Docker-Installation durchzuführen

Es ist eine Frage, für wen alle das Rechtssystem gilt. Es war ja eben keine politische Veranstaltung, wie es die Republikaner behaupten. Es war ein ganz normales Strafverfahren für einen Menschen aus den USA.

Trump sagte mal, er könne jemanden umbringen und er sei nicht zu, belangen. Nun ja, sieht man jetzt.

Dass die US Verfassung nicht auf solche Personen vorbereitet ist, das ist ein anderes Thema.
