@jpmens Among the issues: LibreOffice and Mastodon interface both treat emojis (and rightly so) as separators so may display the domain name on two lines.

C'est pendant les pannes qu'on peut le mieux observer comment un système marche. Les perturbations qui affectent le serveur racine du identifié par la lettre C sont donc l'occasion d'apprendre comment fonctionne ce système des serveurs racine.

@jpfox n'a en effet pas été un succès mais je ne suis pas sûr que ce soit à cause de ses limites. Les autres initiatives citées sont également restées marginales (comme Solid, qui a pourtant bénéficié d'un marketing très lourd et très relayé).
C'est simplement très dur de percer, le problème d'œuf et de poule est difficile à surmonter. Peu de serveurs donc peu de clients donc peu de serveurs, etc.

This is quite rare - the C root-servers are out of sync with the rest of the world by 3 days. Since that time there have been no changes in the root zone, except for DNSSEC signature updates. It appears all C instances (operated by ) are serving an outdated zone. For now this has no operational impact, but that might change

@winfried @jpmens we don't know (it is one of the most obscure parts of "Internet governance"). If we want to speculate, we may notice that there was no change in the root zone since the problem began: it may be because IANA noticed and stopped making changes.
