I think I shall visit Brisbane first

it’ll be a LOT easier when he can walk

See, the thing here is, when they start to walk they almost always default to walking towards something dangerous as a first option…so yeah, it’s easier, but you’ll also get loads of lunging forward practice just as you’ve sat down or have just started doing something else… ha

I dyed my own hair (when I had hair…😳) once whilst camping in a national park, used a whole can of sun-in. I didn’t go into town for about a week, and when I did, I legit did a spit-take when I saw my reflection in a shopfront window. On reflection, I didn’t need the whole can.

Slept in this morning and missed my run… Will go tomorrow, promise.

Seeing that episode when it aired, as compared to seeing it now, with two kids in the car…hits different. It’s genius.

Agree. I’m torn though, because for all his massive faults and huge I’m a dick-ness, he has pushed space technology forward at a time when it was stagnating.

Yes. Agree.

Just bought an Android Auto Wireless adaptor off Ali Express for $25. 😳… Will report back

I have an aftermarket older Joying headunit in a 2010 honda, that only runs Android Auto by using an app called Headunit Reloaded. Car is on the way out so not worth replacing. Up until recently it worked great through wifi hotspot or wired connection. For some reason now though, the joying unit will not recognise wifi and the wired connection hardly ever works. No firmware fixes as is a couple of generations old now. Thinking for $25 it’s worth a try. Supposedly will work with my setup.

PS4 ( Bedrock). Seems I’m the only one here.

Right on. Currently my body can only handle about every second day. So my day streak is perpetually on 1.

For me, have decided to do my first race. A 10km option in the local marathon. It’s in October so heaps of time to prep. I’m currently consistently getting out with the doggo three times a week doing about 5-6km each time. Did a 7km run this morning with him. Might look at one of those Garmin training programs to get up to 10km. Anyone tried that with success?

Try the book. It’s one of my favourites. Read it basically in one sitting whilst solo camping in the Daintree about 20 years ago.

Gaah, meta have added AI into WhatsApp… When did that happen?

calhoon2005,
@calhoon2005@aussie.zone avatar

Same boat.

Edit… Apparently there’s a toggle switch coming in a future update

calhoon2005,
@calhoon2005@aussie.zone avatar

Well, for me I don’t trust meta. And yes I know WhatsApp is meta, but I’m sort of locked into it on account of almost everyone I am in contact with using it. Just don’t like the idea of meta based AI possibly using my messages for learning.

Has anyone here managed to replicate rice cooker rice in an instantpot?.. No matter which recipe/method I try it just doesn’t come out right. Last night’s was cooked, but not fluffy, sort of more chewy. I’ve used the “rice button” option and a few pressure cooker options.

Nice, I’ll give this a go. Thanks

What would you go for medium grain? 4 min?

I live in a suburb in inner Melbourne. There’s one river trail near me, but I wish there were more trail running options locally. We go camping in the hills/coastal area/forested areas fairly often, and the trail running whilst there is such a highlight of the trips for me.
