[SPOILER] ::: First i want say about the rotoscope animation, this is first film i saw like this, it’s a unique way to portray the story without any real life constraints. and the story also was good with a well casted characters. In the beginning i wasn’t able to understand the intricacies of the movie, specifically the...
I wish to know if someone could write a story, would they write the character with an actor/actress in mind, or would they develop a character from inspiration and cast someone aptly? Both approaches occur, but what would you prefer?...
I dont know why the remakes are producing now more than ever. It was a huge hit and remained as a classic, no one asked for that and many gonna despise by comparing with the classic. Same for Harry Potter.
WB finally give an update of approving a new project on animated movie which is gonna produce by James Gunn, the new creative head of DC and that movie gonna release on theatres. It’s none other than Jurassic League....
I watched the documentary about Jodorowsky’s Dune and it was jaw-dropping. I’ve never seen any of his movies, but I’ve heard about him as an occult figure. With the overwhelming fame of Dune, I heard about this documentary and watched it without any expectations. However, it completely changed my perception....
I agree, he made his son to train karate, jiu jitsu, acrobatics for daily 6hrs, all days in a week for 2 years to act in the role of Paul on Dune. He was only 13 at that time.
Just finished watching the live action and i absolutely loved it. This is best in quality and Albert Kim (program creator) proved he’s a fan. This show got everything and felt bit of rushed from the cartoon. But they beautifully condensed the story we saw on 20 episodes into 8 episodes. Gordon Cormier portrayed Aang so well. I...
He portrayed Iroh well in my opinion. He showed the emotional side of Iroh and not humorous like the cartoon. But it’s not a downside because the new viewers will not agree if everyone were comical in a story like this. Cartoon is different. This is like an entry point if they wish to see Avatar series.
I concur, the original always seemed great, we are connected with that. But this one is good imo to watch how it would on real life. Apart from the original, they showed what they can compile 20 episodes in to 8, and it still doesn’t seems rushed for me. It will be more likeable not only for the fans but also the general audience.
Watched half of the show and its really good. I saw some reviews of good and bad about this series, but from what I experience is kinda fresh and nostalgic. I finished rewatch of ATLA and TLOK only a couple of months ago, and this live series gimme a very good vibe of the cartoon. The quality is good and explored much than on...
Just finished the first episode, it’s different, I feel like I messed it up for myself for rewatching the og one only a few weeks ago and having that fresh in my head, how ever I am a fan.
I like this series on my childhood, if they got a good story with the same quality of animation as in spiderverse, this could be great for us and wb.
I heard wb wasn’t interested at the beginning, but after heard the story, they didn’t rejected nor accepted. Atleast James Gunn should come forward for this. Because they shouldn’t only rely on universe films, marvel did that mistake. I hope dc would accept this project.
Watched Spartacus last week, and it simply marvellous. Its been more than 60 years since it released, and this movie did great for me. Watched this for Stanley Kubrick, following his filmography for a while and his ambiguous portrayal amused me. I hadn’t much expectation on this, but i saw some resemblance of this on some...
No hate to anyone, but imo, social media has lost the original meaning for which it was founded. It was created for communicating with people, but many have become completely absorbed in it and forgotten how to live and talk in reality. There is so much to learn from these platforms beyond mere amusement, but they have become...
This is what I wanted to hear about. The social media lost their purpose of what they’re created for. Its no more to connect with the people, just a place to get away from the people and lost ourselves without knowing. I knew about the enshittification, which made to post this. I liked reddit a lot, but now lemmy is way much better than it, because it doesn’t have the urge to make karma, to make some numbers and no posts on every seconds. Recently they introduced the streak concept, which made me to find an alternative. Reddit soon to be ended not only by the company, but also by the users. From what I experienced a long time ago was a helping and supportive community, now its just a bully mentality to showoff their intellectual on others.
Walked around like more than 14 kms in 2 hours. Went to a competition on a different districts women’s college. No mode of transport was there, only buses were available but men aren’t allowed in. Got to walk around the border of the district to got the bus.
Nice detail
