Gordon is the only one who's shown anything. Becoming a trend. The rest of them are running on empty. Injuries really stacking up now and we're not even in the crazy winter period yet.

@philheppenstall I don't think he's ready and we keen throwing him in the deep end.

Previously I felt the injuries were manageable but it's getting too much now. There needs to be some internal reflection by the club somewhere.

We got extra lucky last year and definitely not this year. Never understood our arrogance in the transfer market buying for tomorrow and not today (not disputing any of the individual buys but we needed more for today in other areas).

@philheppenstall I think he'd be tearing up the championship with the saints, we were the only people willing to pay it. Glad we did though with the power of hindsight.

Disagree on Joelinton, hate him upfront, I'd rather have a school kid up top.

I preferred Gordon up there personally.

Definitely trust Eddie to fix the problems, he's done it lots of times, especially during international breaks.

@garius all of the strikes have delayed it I think.

They'll have to have quite a large time gap in the plot to explain how they all grew up between series which will be weird.

Not been good enough, think Howe has over thought both BVB games. Both games have reminded me of the league cup final last year where we just don't show up.

I guess his hands are tied with injuries but I still think playing Hall LB was a bit of a mistake.

@philheppenstall I was fully expecting Tripps LB and Tino RB.

I think Hall isn't ready to be starting in the champions league.

He didn't do anything wrong but the other 2 are a level above currently.

@philheppenstall I think with Burn out, the overall shape is better with Tino bombing on and Trippier tucking in. It's a shame to lose Trippier's movement on the right but Tino at least gives the opposition something different to worry about, so it makes us less predictable. His ball in for Joelinton was amazing so it looks like he has good delivery too.

Either way the length of time they spent on that was a joke. I don't think it's a pen but it's definitely not clear and obvious enough to overturn via VAR.

I think some sort of timeout would help for clear and obvious calls, but I can imagine it puts even more pressure on the VAR.

On wildcard and now I don't know whether to tear everything up to get Wilson in.

Watkins, Alverez and Haaland are my current three. Would have to be Alverez that made way but he's such good value for his price I don't think I can justify it.

@philheppenstall I did that with Miggy last year during his purple patch and it cost me big time. I then got in Isak when Wilson was scoring loads at the end of season so I have a bad record.

This year has been better, I got Trips just before Sheffield United and he's got points galore since and I got Gordon last week and he scored right away so it hasn't been the usual disaster.

On another day we sneak a draw, didn't deserve it though. Hard to take as we didn't play our best at all. First time I've thought Lascelles looked a bit limited, and the game didn't suit Wilson who also didn't bring his A game either.

Gutted for Murphy, honestly think he's an upgrade on Miggy most of the time. But, great to see Willock back!!

@philheppenstall post match Eddie said Murphy's looked serious :/ he said Isak's is a reoccurrence, iirc he said he might be out for a couple of games or weeks.

Trippier and Bruno had off days I think, like you say most of our crosses weren't great. Targett put in the best ball all game.

Willock will hopefully be that runner in midfield.
