Last weekend, I got to try the shaaken beef with Tattooine bounty, which includes peppers, onions and crispy kale, from #DockingBay7 , a dish that debuted on May 4 this year. The dish was ok, a little salty, which is saying a lot coming from me. I wouldn't order it again. #BlackSpireOutpost #GalaxysEdge #StarWarsGalaxysEdge #Batuu #Disneyland #SeasonOfTheForce /1

The weird part is that the husband did mobile order for this dish, and when he picked it up, the first pic is what he brought back. Oh, lots of kale, that's nice. (It wasn't as day-glow green as it appears - that's a function of my weird phone camera.)

I moved the kale aside and the second pic is what I saw. I looked at it for a minute. Umm, that doesn't look like beef. That coloring makes it look like chicken. I tasted a piece. Umm, that's not chicken. It was flour / pasta, like gnocchi. /2

There's nothing on the app, either the regular menu or on mobile order, that lets you order a vegetarian version of this dish. It's possible that you can only order it from a cashier, but the line was too long for me to ask. I don't know how you'd know to order it, though, as I didn't see any signage, though I didn't look at the regular posted menus. /3

When the husband took the dish back up, the cast member looked at it, looked confused, and then called for another of the dish, which is what he brought back. He said the CM didn't seem to know what the dish was either.

You can see in this picture, of the regular dish, that it does contain a few pieces of gnocchi, which are the orange lumps at the bottom middle of the picture. (Not the bigger orange lump at the bottom right - that's a pepper.) /4

I think this is a terrific vegetarian offering, and I would absolutely order it, especially with the abundance of kale. The question would be how to go about doing that, and if it's available, why isn't it included on the menus in the app?

I don't know which part is supposed to be the "Tattooine bounty" though. Surely not any of the vegetable matter, from a desert planet, so maybe the gnocchi? #DockingBay7 #BlackSpireOutpost #GalaxysEdge #Batuu #Disneyland #SeasonOfTheForce /5 end

Got to see Dug today. His talking collar works too. There was a little girl who was so incredibly happy to see him. She didn't want to leave. 1/2

Has anyone watched "The Bear" on FX? Thoughts? I don't know anything about it... haven't even searched/researched it but just saw a TV ad & it intrigued me.

Which is rare for a TV ad for me.

@kurtsh I love the show. It's even better if you know anything about kitchen culture, but it's not required. There's plenty that involves just family dynamics. There are some episodes in season 2 that are incredibly tense and uncomfortable. It deserves all of the accolades it's gotten. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go with season 3.

@kurtsh The basic story is that a chef who's well regarded and been working in fancy upscale international restaurants comes back to Chicago to help salvage the family restaurant after the death of his brother. There's a lot of family drama surrounding why he'd originally left home as well as his return. There's also the individual stories of the various people who work in the kitchen and the new, young manager as well as the older manager.

I was very fortunate to be able to attend this tribute to . What an amazing evening. And to top it off, they didn't pick this date for that reason, but today would have been Howard's 74th birthday.

The main guests were John Musker and Ron Clements, who, among other things, directed the animated films and , so they had a lot of stories to tell about Howard. /1

Several people had prior commitments and so could not be at the event but sent video messages - Alan Menken, Paige O'Hara, Susan Egan, and Jodi Benson. Jodi's tribute especially brought many of us to tears.

As expected, many songs were sung during the course of the evening.

"Part of Your World" was performed by Abigail Barlow and Emily Bear, who are also currently working on "Moana 2". /2

I don't know the woman who sang "Poor Unfortunate Souls", but she's on the far right in the picture, & she was terrific. (Found her - Kerry O'Malley.) I learned tonight that they'd originally wanted Bea Arthur to voice Ursula, but that didn't work out. Charlotte Rae was also in the running, but that didn't work out either.

"Proud of Your Boy" (which was cut out of the animated film "Aladdin" but included in the stage musical) was sung by the man on the left of the picture, who I don't know. /3

Julie Garnyé performed "Disneyland" from the show "Smile".

Two songs from "Little Shop of Horrors" were performed, "Somewhere That's Green" and "Suddenly Seymour", with Darren Criss dueting on the latter song. /4

For "Beauty and the Beast", there was a clip played of a recording session for the song "Be Our Guest", from the documentary "Waking Sleeping Beauty". If you haven't seen that documentary, I highly recommend it. It's available on Disney+, and I believe it's available for rent or purchase from other platforms. /5

The evening ended with a rendition of the title track from "Beauty and the Beast" from Darren Criss on the piano.

Thank you to everyone involved for an incredible evening. /6 end

I saw #IFMovie last night, and I generally liked it, though I much preferred the second half to the first half. I thought the set-up took too much time, and I might also have liked the approach to be a little different. I also never really got the motivation for why Bea took on the endeavor, which I think would have helped. /1

I did have a problem with one of the IFs (IF means Imaginary Friend) in that every time a person was in front of them, it looked completely like the person was standing in front of a screen with the IF projected on it. Didn't have that problem with any of the other IFs, so it was weird and really ripped me out of the story.

There's no after-credits scene per se, but there is an acknowledgement at the very end that was nice. /2

I've been thinking that it seems very coincidental that two movies about imaginary friends were coming out within months of each other, taking polar opposite turns of what happens to the forgotten friends. I was interested in knowing what happened in "Imaginary" but there was no way I could watch it. #IFMovie /3 end

Musical Journey to the Past: A Conversation with the Creatives Behind Anastasia

The panel ended with a live performance by Liz Callaway, the original singing voice of Anastasia, singing "Journey to the Past", accompanied on the piano by Stephen Flaherty, as Lynn Ahrens looked on. Amazing.

Loved hearing all the development stories, especially about Carrie Fisher being hired for two weeks to punch up the dialogue in the scenes between Anya and Dimitri.

She's a Disney princess now. Hope she eventually gets her due.
