Elite Dangerous is finally getting in on the 'cash money spaceships’ bandwagon, with 'pre-built ships’, starting at about $15 each.

You know, I'm happy for them. It's probably way too late to save the game at this point, but on the off chance having access to an infinite money tree actually turns things around, I think it's a good thing.

I really would love to see the Elite team have the resources they need to actually build the game they dreamed of in that Kickstarter

@stroughtonsmith I loved that game so much, I spent so. much. time. in it. Plus, a couple of years ago I was able to play it in VR for a few hours, and that was something else entirely.

Jedes Mal, wenn ich 5 Minuten auf LinkedIn verbringe* und dort lese, was andere Menschen schreiben, fühle ich mich befremdet aber auch ein bisschen als Versager, weil ich keine „spannende neuen Möglichkeiten“ biete oder an „exciting new ventures" mit meinen "soft skills und deep knowledges" feile.

Ich weiß, da ist viel Glanz und das ist zum großen Teil ein immerwährendes Bewerbungsschreiben per Hochdruckgebläse, aber trotzdem…

Heads-up, #iOS/ #macOS devs: if you get failed builds due to a "Command CompileAssetCatalog failed with a nonzero exit code” error in #Xcode 15.3, it's probably one of the SVGs in your asset catalog. The SVG likely uses <feGaussianBlur/>, making Xcode throw a tantrum

Update: builds on Xcode 15.3 seems to fail if there are any SVG in asset catalogs, period.

@roanutil Interesting… Albeit they worked fine for me as well up until I switched to Xcode 15.3. My guess is that the SVG parser doesn't like some SVG structures less than others, and I'm really too annoyed about that to debug it even further 😉

PS: They weren't a problem for the macOS build but for the iOS build. Same SVG, same asset catalog. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have seen AI-generated images containing the same elements (e.g. an AI-generated image with the same amount of cats, two small, and one large white cat with intricate golden patterns, a lotus flower, and a remaining coin at the top) & the same colors in my artwork. I especially mean the right picture in the three-pictured layout.

How should I feel about such situations?
