Does no one know how lobbying works? Lobbyists whole job is following politicians votes, etc. and calling or applying what pressure they have to the ones they believe are vulnerable.

I’m not sure you understand the parent comment. I didn’t realize how terrible until I hailed a cab, noticed someone who was actually also hailing but must have been doing so before me, so I deferred and offered the cab I hailed to him. The cabby noticed the person was black and just booked it. The person was resigned and indicated this was not uncommon.

Does Trump being found guilty actually matter?

Since he can still run for office and become president while in prison, is this actually going to do anything to stop him from being president? Obviously it’s not gonna sway anyone who’s gonna vote for him, so is there any actual way this keeps him from office, or at least has some positive effect for us? I wanna join the...

  1. Not having been determined via impeachment proceedings to be barred from office.
  2. Having served less than two terms, however you can serve just under 10 years if you were raised to president more than half way through the term.

Just for clarity, beheading and decapitation are different. This uses the same word incorrectly to draw a parallel to two different things.

I think everyone should stop criticizing Trump for a week and just see how far he’ll go without any negative feedback loop.

The problem is that humor is often baded upon the subversive of expectations, so if a right wing person want to be funny they have to make a joke that the world is somehow different than the idiotic view they have of it. Often this ends up just describing reality cruelly. For example, a man dressing up as a woman is instantly funny, because as everyone knows there are only two genders and they have roles.
