Yeah, I get what you’re saying. As a parent to a 5-year-old, it’s another example of “how not to raise your kid” that I could take notes from and avoid doing.

I used to put some r/PH guys in their place whenever they’d mention na “OnLy In ThE PeLePeNs”. Like sa atin lang daw may nag-iiwan ng pinagkainan sa restos sa ibang bansa CAYGO (not completely true, sa Australia at San Diego napapagalitan pa nga ako kasi mawawalan daw sila trabaho if I do it). Or tayo lang daw nagra-rate ng mga Shopee sellers ng 1 for being slow with their delivery (dami kaya ganun sa Amazon and other shopping sites). Pati mga lubak at terrible road conditions common din sa mga first world countries.

Pero nakakasawa na rin mag-correct kasi next week may bago na naman thread about it wherein the same gripes are mentioned again and upvoted.

Sabi ko nga sa random daily thread, nagpapasalamat pa rin ako kasi our country doesn’t have school shootings, walang spree killings, walang mga cartel or drug-related violence (mga pulis pa mismo pasimuno ng mga kaguluhan dyan), maganda yung familial ties natin (for the most part), medical care isn’t eye-gougingly expensive, abot kaya ang cost of living, internet is relatively fast and affordable, our weather is just right, madaming paid holidays at pinapayagan mag-suspend kasi mainit, I could go on and on.

MMDA was stupid for accepting the reward and giving the guy a platform. Dapat nung inoffer niya pa lang yung 100k they should have refused because it just screams power play. Kaso hindi. Pinapunta pa sa office nila and made a dog and pony show of the entire thing na he’s rewarding daw their commitment to the cause and upping the amount. Fuck them all.

Edit: It’s actually a lot worse when I saw the apprehension video. Nagso-sorry pa yung mga nanghuli at nakikitawa na akala mo “night-out with the barkada”. Jeez.

TIL na nabili pala ng Fruitas ang Balai Pandesal and also explains why ang dami na nila branches.

Kaso parang hindi naman sila competitor ng Julie’s which usually serves mga generic bakery products like panderegla and choco-crinkles. Ang ka-linya ng Balai are Pan de Manila and Breadtalk na nagseserve din ng mga dairy and juices.

First time to hit the gym consistently last week. Spartan lang yung gym at walang aircon tapos puros HIIT-style. Hindi ko kinaya, laging half sets lang ako haha. Time to reach out to my former trainer and have a program made instead of a one-size fits all workout that only applies to 345-pounders trying to lose weight.

Nakakatakot yung knife attack sa Sydney mall. Kaya despite my frustrations with the country, I’m still happy na wala tayo mass shootings dito despite the lax gun ownership laws. Wala tayong mga trip trip lang na spree killings. Walang serial killers. Walang nagpapangap na nasiraan ng sasakyan just to murder you. Racism and homophobia are usually limited to childish jokes, walang discrimination or hate crimes.
