When I visited my family's cabin in March I noticed the network connection up there was very unstable. I spoke with my mom's ISP up there and had them run a diagnostic, and the modem was found to be bad. This is not surprising, it's the original crap ISP modem that they got when they first got internet up there like 10 years ago. I got a new modem shipped to mom's house, and a few weeks ago I logged into it and changed up the Wi-Fi to be the same as it was before so it would just work as a drop-in replacement.

It was installed today and so far there are zero problems. Time will tell if this resolves the issue, but so far things are looking promising! It helps to have an IT person in the family I guess.

I've been reading "Caves of Steel" on my Kobo e-reader lately. It's not quite as engaging for me as "I, Robot" or "Foundation", but it's not bad.

Also, it's a murder mystery involving a human cop who doesn't like robots and his very human looking Robot partner made me think of the game "Detroit: Become Human", which I have a feeling was heavily influenced by "Caves of Steel".

I'd call my Kobo reader a success at getting me to read...After a week I'm less than 50 pages away from finishing up my first book I've read on it (I, Robot).

In comparison, I read Foundation last year, and it took me like three months. Same author, similar writing style, just used a physical book instead of an e-reader.

One of my wife's friends upgraded their kid to a queen sized bed while we were up north and asked my wife if we wanted her kid's bareley used, basically completely new twin mattress.

She said yes...and they gave us the memory foam topper to it too...so my bed just got a huge upgrade and our youngest kid got my three month old spring mattress now.

Both of us are getting huge upgrades now!
