@Andres4NY It takes a lot of work and data and testing to build one of these systems that works well most of the time, and I guarantee you most companies are not putting in the effort to build that out.

A YouGov poll in autumn 2022 put support for the monarchy in Scotland at 50% vs 34% backing a republic.

However, new polling from Survation found that just 34% of Scots surveyed supported the continuation of a hereditary monarchy while 45% said they would prefer an elected head of state.

With don’t knows excluded it puts support for the monarchy at 43% compared to support for an elected head of state at 57%.

@seachanger “Construct more houses” has never been the answer even if you don’t believe in regulatory approaches. It should be “create more homes”, a subtle but significant difference.

Wow! They’ve come out with a new model that has Internet connectivity and can touch twice as much grass for only a fraction of the electricity. Day one purchase for sure! After all, time is money, and boy will I be rich once I get the Grass Toucher 2.0!

@Andres4NY @kattrali Oh, that’ll be great! This thing goes through grass like a mofo, so we’ve been shipping in grass from the African Savana to keep up with it. It’s a huge line item in the budget, but the grass touching efficiency can’t be beaten. AI grass is going to solve all our problems!

@bikepedantic I honestly don’t get why Easter is a thing. Our family isn’t even religious. No one is excited for Easter. I’ve never met anyone for whom Easter is their favourite holiday. It just feels like this weird burden holiday that’s thrust upon me. My kids have now had basically a mini Christmas in Spring and I guess will expect that every year now. Whyyyy!

The Leftovers is one of the only TV shows that communicated a cohesive message throughout its entire run. It is the paragon that I’d hold up as “Television can be Art”. And it’s not exactly unknown, but I still think there’s not enough talking about it

@Andres4NY I agree in the sense of 1 and 2 being more gripping, but season 3 is what ties it all together. Otherwise it would be another forgettable TV show that set up big ideas and had no idea how to land them.

The didn't want to turn off SpongeBob and refused to give me the remote, so from my laptop I logged into Kodi's web interface and started the TV playing My Little Pony episodes (which he absolutely hates). He kept trying to switch back to SpongeBob, and I'd switch it back to MLP. Little guy was losing his mind. 😂

Moral of the story: listen to your parents.
