Hey y'all...looking at Fedi reddit alternatives, and the two contenders are Lemmy and Kbin.

I've heard there was some controversy around Lemmy a couple years ago. Anyone have details on that? Has anything changed?

Kbin look good, but the "very early beta" status has me worried about using it in prime time. Anyone have any experiences there?

Adding to my generalized morning worries is the latest signs of just how badly my industry is degrading. No one is unaffected. Feeling crushed between the "Just switch to Linux" sentiment I'm seeing and the entirely understandable backlash of "Don't tell me just to use Linux". Now with search engines too.

I have no other answers to offer. There are no simple answers left. The options seem to be accept hot garbage or figure it out entirely for yourself. Neither are great.
