In Xcode 15.4, SPM now auto-generates Swift symbols for catalog assets.
That's great! Except they're declared internal, therefore they're useless in a package whose sole purpose is defining a Design System ๐Ÿ˜•

Question for folks building cross-platform SwiftUI apps: How do you handle conditional layout optimisations?

You need # ifs for a bunch of platform specific stuff, but for stuff like fonts and padding, what pattern do you use? The Environment seems right but I'm not sure exactly what shape this takes

What are you currently using for organising the next tasks you want to do for your apps?

I tried many, not super with any of them.

I need just multiple task lists, so that I can group my tasks by topic, and then a Kanban board to plan them out.

Currently doing this with Apple Reminders, with "Working" List that has multiple Columns (my Kanban board) and Smart lists based on tags (my grouped task lists.

And that is working quite well. But would be interested what you are using!

@klemensstrasser I use Things and yeah it's not ideal. I mostly just make headers for every release, and then I have a big โ€œTBD" header which contains unscheduled future stuff

I've used Linear at a job before and it was pretty decent, but I'm not sure if it's also great for individual use

Do the people at Slack not realise that whatever marginal gains their periodic UI "refreshes" have are totally offset by having to constantly get used to a new UI?

Update after some quick Wikipedia-ing: Turns out some Dutch mfs named it Nova Zeelandia after a province called Zeeland, which, it turns out, is Dutch for Sea Land indeed

So itโ€™s not New Sea Land, but rather New Sealand

My grandmother passed away today. I feel so privileged to have known her, and for my children โ€“ her great-grandchildren! โ€“ to have known her too. 98 is a fantastic age, and Iโ€™ll always remember her love and kindness โค๏ธ
