Idk what’s meant with chaos. Chevron deference has been around for a while and it overbroadens the powers of federal agencies to a point where you could say they are judge and jury in their own case, while also having no accountability in practice to the judicial branch.

TL;DR Chevron deference bad, new law on this is good. I disagree with the article.

OTT was a multiband compressor setting. It was called “over the top” or short OTT. For about 15y now it’s been an industry standard for EDM. Technically a lot of other compressors might be able to replicate (assuming they simulate the same crossovers and upward as well as downward compression), but it still is a very specific configuration.

Yes there was another suit against the trump org in NY for fraud, but it’s basically over, a judgement has been entered and last thing I’ve heard is that he was trying to secure a bond and the latest bond company got rejected by the court because something something not offering collateral.

I have no clue what the current status of this case is.

Backpack Battles is fun but it can get boring real quick.

Potion Craft before that was super fun and actually kept me on the edge for quite a while.

There’s a lot of cool indie games and I’m currently digging through a good chunk of the Rogue lites ^^

Mind you this boils down to an absurdly short list of countries who even allow euthanasia at all.

And that’s because making sure the victim consented is super scary and risky. You don’t wanna accidentally allow murder, even if it’s only for the very smart murderers who can forge documents.

If I was to try drugs to ease out, I would probably go for cannabis in a small dose. It’s not physically addicting and some autism patients say it really helps them. Although all drugs are a form of roulette when it comes to the effects.

It gets even more complicated.

For the suit you need evidence, but prosecutors have privilege for their whole case, so technically the inner workings are not discoverable. Now maybe the new judge / prosecutor can waive that on behalf of the government (I straight up don’t know if that’s possible), but either way, this is gonna get ridiculously complicated.

Always easy to say this in hindsight.

IRC is considered unsafe too to a certain degree with pirating folks.

Also let me emphasize this: for every discord server shut down like this, there are 100+ servers with almost the same purpose that still exist and will continue to for at least the next 3y.

If you are doing development as a hobby, you just don’t have the time to use a different system, get used to that system, and then critically convince everyone else to go there too. Just look at Lemmy, I want it to be great as well but we have to accept that a few tiny steps more in the day to say usability of a system can be the difference between Twitter and Mastodon. And before ppl are saying “well Twitter was there longer”, sure but that doesn’t mean we cannot see the trend for growth that does or doesn’t exist.
