Yes, I didn’t research this extensively… it was more of a hunch. :D Yes, certainly, I simply thought that if you minimize phone usage, it would result in a longer battery life and fewer charging cycles, which in turn would reduce CO2 emissions… but I admit it’s a bit of a stretch. :D

Notion anche non è open source ma fa quello che chiedi. È un po’ il diretto concorrente di obsidian, che ti è stato consigliato nei commenti.

Anytype dovrebbe essere il concorrente di entrambi, ma open source. Il problema è che sono rimasti anni e anni in Alpha e solo da poco è iniziata la “pre-beta” 🤣 insomma, non proprio il massimo dell’affidabilità.

I hope you don’t feel triggered by my question, I am genuinely curious, I swear. No judgment. Here my question: since bugs are part of this planet’s life like all other life forms, don’t you think that there is something wrong being so triggered from bugs?

I mean, it’s normal to respect or to feel a kind of repulsion to some kind of insects, it is natural instinct that saved us from death, but being grossed by bugs in general sounds a bit too much to me.

I had a kind of phobia but when I realized that we are all part of the life on this planet, insects included, than something changed in me. I do not love insects, but I definitely do not feel reputation or fear anymore. I feel respect for some kind of insects (big spyders for example) and I try to build biodiversity in my garden for some others.

Sorry, I don’t want to bother you or judge you, is it totally ok the way you are. I just kind of saw myself some years ago in our emotional answer.

Grazie mille! Si, io vivo in Germania e qui non ci sono le vagonate di GB che ci sono in Italia. Poi infatti ho pensato potesse essere utile in quelle situazioni in cui la connessione è instabile o quelle zone del mondo dove non è semplice avere una connessione veloce. Le pagine visitate funzionano anche offline oltretutto.

Sincero, il formato Europass non mi è mai veramente servito, ho sempre cercato di fare cose creative che sono state apprezzate di più dai datori di lavoro. Ma magari per posizioni statali è richiesto quello immagino.

Mi è stato richiesto qualche volta, specialmente in Germania (dove però alla fine non sono mai andato). Quando un’azienda chiede un formato specifico preferisco adeguarmi, piuttosto che rischiare che il loro sistema non riesca a estrarre informazioni dal mio solito modello, e quindi di finire in fondo alla lista dei candidati.

Pulito e leggibile. Preferirei lo sfondo bianco però, ed eviterei di sforare nella terza pagina per un solo elemento (nel mio campo i curriculum si stampano ancora :D ).

Sapete se esiste un servizio che fa questo? Ho appena finito i GB del mio piano tariffario e ho pensato di scrivere una piccola API che prende un URL come parametro, lo parsa e rimanda indietro solo una versione tipo quelle in "read mode" o ancora più basica, in modo da poter navigare anche con velocità ridotta....

È ancora buggato e in termini di velocità e performance c'è ancora un bel po' da fare, ma intanto mi permette di cercare roba online anche con una connessione pessima. Leggevo pochi, pochissimi libri all'anno, e mi pesava molto. Poi ho riscoperto il Kindle, e da quando lo uso e sostituisco i social (fa ridere dirlo su un social 😅) alla lettura, riesco a leggere dai 7-8 a 12 libri all'anno. Penso che gli schermi e-ink e gli ebook siano due delle invenzioni più rivoluzionarie, ma passate stranamente in sordina.

Nowadays is only a matter of community and resources related to the language that one can find online. Php lost popularity and gained this image as a bad language, this brings a lot of devs to not use Php without a real factual reason. Is just not cool or they feel ashamed to tell that they work with Php.

If a dev works with typescript is more easy to find a lot of cool and pleasing resources, videos, articles. With php, for the reasons explained above, the stuff you can find it does not feel so cool as other mainstream languages. And here the game start over, for this reason less people use it and so on. This give to the entire php ecosystem a kind of "old" feeling and a lot of young devs just don't like it.

But rarely there are real reasons. With php 8 for sure there are not a lot of reasons to blame the language to be a bad language.

Until a couple of years ago I used to work with the last versions of php and I actually never felt the urges to redactor everything in some other language.

I am sure that php has limits, but in the same way as all other languages have their limits: they are just tools at the end.

Stop blaming php. Blame WordPress instead! :D

But I would ask he opposite question: can somebody make an argument to not use php? From a dev point of view.
