iamroot,

I wonder whether reddit will kill the free API access next.

iamroot,

Check if cloudflare warp works for you.

iamroot,

You probably can still access third-party apps by being a mod. That works for me (with Boost) when the patching method made it unable to login recently.

I did try the revanced reddit app but the stutters make it unbearable to use.

iamroot,

This is amazing. Their apk sizes are actually smaller than what I get after compiling myself with fewer patches!

iamroot,

It depends on whether the feature is server-side restricted. For example, xManager can’t set audio quality to very high.

Atlantic - Tropical Storm Lee - 9/6/23 5:00 AM AST - 65 MPH - 13.7 N 44.6 W (www.nhc.noaa.gov)

Tropical Storm Lee has formed in the eastern Atlantic and is currently forecast to become a major hurricane (category 3 or higher) by sometime on Friday. It’s still too early to tell where, if anywhere the storm may make a direct impact, but everyone in the islands and eastern U.S. should keep an eye on it.

iamroot,

98% of the models forecast it to turn east out to the ocean, hopefully it stays that way.

Selfhosting lemmy with no pictrs (sh.itjust.works)

Hi all. Due to the news of the illegal images being hosted on lemmy, I shut down my instance. I read some comments from people stating that they were able to selfhost lemmy without pictrs, they just can’t upload or cache photos. I think this is what I am interested in doing at this time....

iamroot,

Try Ásbrú Connection Manager for multi-tab SSH. The only thing missing for me was integrated SFTP.

iamroot,

What does cloudflare have to do with k8s? Maybe you’re confusing it with load balancer.
To answer your question, yes, some big instances are actually using CF protection to mitigate DDoS attacks.

iamroot,

Do you happen to know why v0.18.2 is available in tags, yet not in releases? I see that majority of lemmy instances are running BE 0.18.2.

[HELP] How can I bind mount in Docker on Mac efficiently?

When running docker dev environment with Linux and Windows (with WSL2), it’s already in the same container context so the performance is decent. However, on Mac there’s no WSL2 equivalent so bind mounts are painfully slow due to the overhead of translation between the Mac’s and container filesystem....

iamroot,

Production runs on Linux server. The problem is with development environment, I want to avoid Virtualbox as it would be an extra overhead to manage and affect DX.

iamroot,

Does it support docker compose?

iamroot,

Lost mine too, had an .ml domain for testing servers. Was baffled why the DNS won’t resolve, then I see this.

iamroot,

If you’re exposing open ports, you can setup IP monitoring and it’ll notify you about any security weaknesses it can find.
