A source in Tehran close to the presidency told me that Raisi has been confirmed dead, and that the authorities are looking for a way to report the news without causing mayhem. I have not been able to independently confirm this.
@jackhutton It should be fairly clear to any thinking person that, given the time elapsed since the vehicle went down, the failure to announce a finding is a strong indicator the man is dead.

Rescuers are trying to locate the helicopter on which President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian were traveling, state media reported. Their status is unknown.

This is a native of the Slovak city of Levice. He is 71 years old. Before the assassination attempt, he shouted to the Prime Minister, “Robo, come here,” and opened fire.
