There must be worse ways to deal with a boycott than the RVT did, but I can't think of any.

So your community tells you that they're not keen on ESC this year and they get busy and organise alternative events to fill your venue instead, so you don't lose any money. You accept and new events are announced (the organisers even agreeing not to mention the boycott as you want to stay out of politics).

Then a week before the ESC you panic because you might not make as much money as you might otherwise do, so you cancel all community events, announce an ESC viewing, watch your community go from stunned to angry to furious, and cancel their other events in your venue as well.

So now the RVT is completely shut on Saturday and some events have decamped to other venues

I've started seeing "FLINTA" being used in English and I'm confused. Is it a German import? Does it mean something different? Can't seem to find anything definitive.

(I mostly see it in an explicitly queer context, so a direct import seems most likely)

How can Kai Wegner be so wrong about who has freedom in the Israel / Palestine region?

Yes, Israelis may fear attacks from hamas insurgents & terrorists, but they are not living under military law and have significantly more freedoms than the Palestinian people do.

This was following a speech by the Israeli + Palestinian men behind the film No Other Land winning best documentary the other night.

Seem to have completely ballsed up my Home WiFi Network once again trying to get my Philips Air+ to rejoin my 2.4 Ghz network after it randomly decided to yeet itself off the network.

Second year in a row that it's done this in January, and Philips has terrible customer service, so I've no idea why it doesn't connect or work properly.

If you wanna buy an air purifier, buy a different brand, because this one's full of frustrations.
