Federation is implemented by copying the content from other servers to your database and file system, so if your users subscribe to something from a different server it will be copied to your server.
But it will be only served to your users, not to the public. Only the communities hosted on your instance will be served to the public.

I have another bug which is bothering me. When the site settings are set to “Registration Mode”: “Close Registration”, the Sign Up link still shows up and the route still sends you to the Sign Up form. You can fill in everything there but then will get a infinite spinner.
I wanted to at least remove the link at the top when sign up is closed. But obviously it’s not as easy as changing a static HTML as in the other bug.

Ich hab meinen Account in 2006 angelegt um meinen kurzen Benutzernamen zu blokieren.
Dann hab ich ihn bis vor 3 jahren nicht benutzt. Vor 3 Jahren bin ich nach Korea gezogen und hab dadurch reddit vermehrt benutzt. Aber immer nur die neue Webseite oder die offizielle Android App. Ich hab nie versucht eine alternativapp zu finden, mir war nicht mal bewusst dass Reddit eine API anbietet bis die Proteste losgingen.
Aber ich wollte schon set langem wieder von Reddit weg es gab nur keine gute Gelegenheit, diese hat sich ja jetzt angeboten and deshalb bin ich hier auf meiner ein personen Instanz.
Frage steht im Titel. Manchmal steh ich recht lange in der Küche und gebe mir echt Mühe mit dem, was ich zubereite. Ich bilde mir auch ein, kindergerechte Gerichte zu kochen....
Meistens nehme ich es persönlich, versuche es aber nicht zu zeigen. Dann mach ich was kleines neues wenn sie wirklich hungrig ist, wenn nicht dann gräbt sie nur drin rum und es bleibt stehen. Manchmal macht die partnerin was wenn sie sieht dass ich aufgegeben hab 😅

Lustigerweise gilt das umgekehrt genauso. Meine Schwester war Kinderkrankenschwester in Deutschland. Dann ist sie nach Indien und ist da mit Hilfe unseres Pfarrers nach Indien und wollte da im Krankenhaus arbeiten. Dort angekommen durfte sie aus fertig ausgebildete Deutsche Fachkraft nix anfassen. Durfte dann immer nur zugucken und Sachen durch die Gegend tragen. Oben drauf hat der dortige Bischof sie immer zu seinen Parties und ueberall mitnehmen und vorzeigen wollen also als “Guckt mal her wir haben diese weisse Frau hier die zu uns zum Helfen aus Deutschland gekommen ist!” Nach nem Monat dieser Spielereien hat sie das mit dem Helfen aufgegeben und ist ins rest des Landes reisen gegangen.

This is really cool, I kind of always wondered how to host stuff which is not on their app store, now I see, there is even a reverse proxy build in and so on.
I used a ton of AddOns, really practical because they also embed themselves easily into the rest of Home Assistant. I would go for the HA OS. But I also do wish there was a AddOn to install random docker images.
