@harriorrihar @mrcompletely @waarismijnhoofd Honestly I don't talk like that. And rarely see people talk like that. o: But I agree of course. There's not much punch in a statement like "AI has no soul" That's way too vague and sounds esoterical.

@harriorrihar @mrcompletely @waarismijnhoofd Is it religious people speaking against AI? But they are not artists? Are they so relevant? And why should I expect them to understand data ownership and licensing in art. I thought we were focusing on artists and their arguments.

I thought we were talking about:
how artists argue VS how non-artists argue.

Because again, among artists I mostly witness licensing and workers rights based argumentation.

So if non artists argue so esoterical that is indeed bad. Sadly I don't see many non-artists arguing against AI to begin with.

Why do we deserve property rights & AI users don't? Why do we accept a human referencing but machine learning shall not be called referencing? Differencing between human and AI. Is that religious to you? I think that's simply healthy boundary.

Equating humans to algorithms is tricky right now. Because millions of people think AI works just like us & thus AI deserves the same rights. That's why I said it can backfire.
