Jellyfish was so great last weekend… doing an episode centered in Kano and her relationship with her mother but based only on her emotional reactions to Miiko and her daughter was a great narrative choice #anime#jellyfishcantswiminthenight
Eupho has always being great at setting the emotional tone of scenes with body language, but here its great how they do it using environmental factors, like the lights of a passing car. Really smooth #anime#hibikeeuphonium
looking at Reina ‘getting physical’ with Kumiko got me thinking about every queerbating controversy among american fans. And most of the time the problem is not the media but UScians and their puritanism. Really the protestants screwed them up. Getting touchy with friends, even sometimes with just acquaintance is normal in other cultures… but americans are so traumatized that they make everything about seggs
@mofumofu The puritans screwed up US culture in so, so many ways. From criminalizing skinship, to glorifying rugged individualism, to planting the toxic seeds of manifest destiny, the puritan legacy has done terrible damage
But I realized what bothered me during the first episode is the constant info dumps. So I had mostly issues with the writing of the premier… The design of the animals doesn’t help either and they look out of place… and some secondary character look very flat #shuumatsutraindokoeiku#anime
everyone is dunking on tesla for their bad design choices but… I can’t stop thinking… when did we decide it was normal for car to require software updates!?
I’ve watched several premieres this week and so far the only shows that Ive been able to watch without yawning were Girls Band Cry and Eupho. Gonna catch up with Jellyfish Can’t Swin in the Night later today #anime
Wind Breaker looks very good… except for the fights.. they look clumsy, with little weight and without impact. Instead when it focus on daily character interactions it shines. I’ll have to wait an see how the story develops to decide if its worth watching #anime#windbreaker
I saw this article trending and I think they were right in a way, if you understand that survival means becoming a billion dollar unicorn start up. And that is one of the biggest sins of business/entrepreneurship these days… the relentless pursue of exponential growth at all cost… sustainability be damned…
In my tiny stupid brain I always have the idea that every developer cares about security practices as much as they care about their “product”. So I need to remind myself that those are in practice 2 completely different areas and most of the time security is an afterthought. That’s why I find funny to read the FOSS/linux bros so exited for finding malicious code
Oof. The backstory of xz's takeover is super sad and it's a wakeup call, def not a cause for celebration. We're just lucky it had side effects that triggered a diligent dev's spidey sense before it did real damage.
Project Zero is the most laudable thing Google's done with its money, and i'm making a todo to find a Linux/FOSS-focused team that needs donations and is well positioned to catch or prevent situations like this. Clearly there are gaps.
