ps4 edition is the best version of lce. 4k 60fps with 18 chunk render distance on ps4 pro, and it’s the most updated and mature version
switch edition is the only portable version of lce. it runs excellently at 1080p 60fps (720p in handheld) and has full touch screen support. its not in s tier because its quite out of date, being the first version of legacy console edition to get the axe
xbox 360 edition has a lot of history, and continued to get updates for an extremely long time
windows bedrock is a playable version of the game
android bedrock is a playable version of the game
ps vita edition is extremely impressive and is genuinely fun. it’s not higher up because updates made the game run and look worse with time
ps3 edition is about on par with xbox 360 edition, except it runs quite a bit worse on the current updates
wii u edition has some cool nintendo exclusive stuff, but it’s not that remarkable and it doesn’t run amazingly
xbox one edition is about on par with ps4 edition, but it’s quite a bit more out of date
pi edition is very fun, if you’re a programmer. if you don’t know how to mess with the game, it’s probably very boring
ios bedrock doesn’t give you as much access to the files as android bedrock does
ps4, xbox one, and xbox series x/s bedrock are a console bedrock editions, meaning all of the custom content has to be bought from the store and you can’t connect to custom servers
new 3ds edition is very impressive and definitely unique, but you’re better off playing the vita, switch, or mobile versions
switch bedrock is absolutely fucking unplayable. it’s riddled with bugs, extremely poor performance, delayed sounds and block updates, long loading times, and furthermore it has the same issues as the other console bedrock editions

@lumi@vftdan@lumi i dont consider phone numbers a flaw on signal because of how said phone number is handled. its not connected to anything you do on the service and doesnt represent your identity. you can always just get a voip number if you dont wanna use your own ^^
@lumi@vftdan@lumi i do feel that the phone number requirement is a holdover. signal used to be a very sms-centric platform, and with the sms stuff being removed and the new username system being implemented (and incredibly overengineered) i feel like phone numbers will be reduced to just one of few options in the future. the demand seems to be there. remember, signal is a non-profit and they like doing things the best way they can, so things move very slowly. we'll have to see!
