nyctre,

In the first season of peaky blinders. Whenever they spoke the Romani, they actually spoke really broken Romanian. They fixed it later on, but still.

There’s an EP of South Park with some Romanian gymnast kids that didn’t make much sense, they probably just picked a little known eastern european country at random for the joke and that was it. Then recently they made a parody of Andrew Tate and said he was romanian. That was a bit sad as well :p

Beyond that just references to Romania and Transylvania whenever there’s a vampire or werewolf or whatever. Even Ron Weasley has a brother that studies dragons there, iirc. But those are amusing and fairly cool references so whatever.

nyctre,

Denmark has not introduced the euro, following a rejection by referendum in 2000, but the Danish krone is pegged closely to the euro (with the rate 7.46038±2.25%) in ERM II, the EU’s exchange rate mechanism.

So if euro gets stronger, so does the krone. If euro drops, so does the krone.

nyctre,

Who decides what’s bad and what’s ok?

nyctre, (edited )

You mean the system that makes it illegal to have an abortion or to marry the person you love if they happen to be the same sex as you? Sign me up then cause, yeah, only bad people suffer in that system

nyctre,

How do you know what the limits of this technology is? How do you know that they couldn’t be able to reach that point in 5-10-20-50-100-1000 years?

Unless you’re thinking of the current iteration of the technology and not its future evolutions.

nyctre, (edited )

Oh, yes, please, tell me more about how you feel underrepresented in football/sports.

nyctre,

Holy crap… Did you guys read the bottom bit about Georgia voters?

"Another man Bob, playing with his bluegrass band outside a café, was more sure. He wanted a positive outcome for Donald Trump and said a conviction would not change his mind. What would?

“If he was convicted of murder, I’d be like that’s not a guy I want to go for!” "

Not surprised, tbh, but I still find it ridiculous to read.

nyctre,

Worked with smoke on the water, not with the pink panther theme. Some of the easiest songs to hum, imo. Sure, I suck at this, but still…anyway, something extra to try when I can’t remember the name of a song. Thanks!

nyctre, (edited )

You had me in the first half. Then you pissed all over it by blaming “eu allies” instead of the actual ones at fault. Saudis, Israel, conservativism, etc. Edit: meant us allies, not eu

nyctre,

Do you happen to have a source for those numbers?

nyctre,

Yeah, next time just reply with “check out my domain name”, or “.ml” if you wanna be even more efficient. Most people will understand your point.

But just to reply to your point so you can’t accuse me of not engaging with your bs or whatever : the russians are investing in propaganda for a “maybe 0.1%”? ThisAnd ThisAnd everything else just because of “maybe 0.1%”?

Everyone knows that there’s multiple factors at play here, and even if trump wins this year, it won’t be only because of bots and propaganda. Like you said, the fact that you can accept donations for your campaign is a huge factor in who gets most visibility. And because most voters are uneducated, they’ll just vote for the most visible ones.

The thing is, most people around here accused of being bots aren’t really bots nor paid by russia. I don’t think anyone actually believes they are. But they’re people on which the propaganda worked.

nyctre,

Except if you’d read the article you’d see that’s bullshit and doesn’t support your claim at all.

Quotes from the text: “And the Russians knew these provisions would make it more difficult for the Ukrainians to accept the rest of the treaty. They might, therefore, be seen as poison pills.”

“Still, the claim that the West forced Ukraine to back out of the talks with Russia is baseless.”

And calls it “putin’s manipulative spin”

nyctre,

First of all, that’s your source, not mine. Also, if they wanted to keep their warmongering interests hidden why even publish that article? You make no sense

Secondly, really? Your argument is “you’re supposed to believe putin, not the ones that conducted interviews, did research and wrote the article”? That’s biblethumping-level of weak, c’mon… “Nooooo, you’re interpreting the holy texts wrong”

nyctre,

The only thing the article shows is that putin is a lying sack of shit and that they’ve been negotiating a peace since february 2022. The fact that they couldn’t agree on terms and you blaming it on western support is purely your interpretation, has nothing to do with facts. It literally said in the article that russia’s first first peace proposal was capitulation. And negotiations brought it down to “neutral” russian puppet, at which point negotiations crumbled. There’s no bias there, that’s what happened. Even the last version of the draft was something that was unacceptable to Ukraine. Anyway, I’m done. You’ll keep blaming Zelensky, because that’s all you’re capable of doing, I’ll keep blaming putin, because he’s the one that started this and the one that can stop it. There’s no point in arguing further.

nyctre,

That’s most countries, afaik. Not all owners do that, ofc, but still. Sadly, pet owners looking for rent always have a harder time finding a place.

nyctre,

Can confirm. Plastic on couch armrests and carpets rolled and stuffed in a corner to prevent cats from destroying them and that’s about it, thankfully.

nyctre,

That cats look for places to sharpen their claws? Or that I’m protecting other people’s property to avoid being asked to pay for them?

nyctre,

Ah, I see what you mean. Fair enough. And I’ve got my own rugs, yeah, place was too empty without. And yeah, got scratching posts and alternatives around, ofc.

nyctre,

Some people experience some things more than others. I believe that’s how they place you on the spectrum

nyctre,

As someone that lives in a wine country and has been trying a different bottle every week(at least) for the past 4 years, I can promise you that there’s good stuff above 12€ as well.

I’ve had tons of 3-10€ bottles and quite a few above 10 as well. Sure, there’s diminishing returns, as with everything, but there’s more than just fluff. Provided you buy quality and not just a name or stuff that’s overpriced just because.

Obviously if you’re expecting a 30€ bottle to be twice as good as a 10€ one you’re gonna have a bad time. But for a special occasion, splurging a bit on something a bit better is a real option.

nyctre,

I agree completely. By special occasion I mostly meant stuff between me and my wife, honestly. Eventually a good friend, or my dad or something like that.

Found a bottle at 10€ that I consider the best value/money and that’s my go to when trying to show people good but not too expensive wine.

nyctre,

Is that just a wine thing or an everything thing?

nyctre,

That may be, but it’s their content and it’s their choice if they wanna let reddit continue to profit from it or not.

nyctre,

If there’s bars with weed, yeah, I imagine a pre rolled joint will be about the same.

nyctre,

I’m a piece of shit, apparently. What are you for insulting someone over a misunderstanding and not even bothering to acknowledge it?
