I think a lot of them still rely on intuition and human level thoughts experiment. See The Feynman Lectures on Physics for a physicist using intuition. For example, when he explains the Fermat Principe with the lifeguard problem: the path of least time running on the beach and swimming to the victim is not the least distance. If you consider that you run faster than you swim, then you should run a bit further so you swim a bit less. This is analogous to the bending of a light ray (refraction, “broken” stick) when it enters water.

Des collègues chinois qui ne prennent pas de pause déjeuner et qui a la place aspirent des briques de truc sucrées et/ou énergisant et des paquets de snacks, alors que la cantine est gratuite. La moitie est obèse.
Ça vient peut-être de la culture du 996 en Chine (journée de travail de 9h du matin à 9h du soir, 6 jours par semaine).

I do. Mentioning civilian victims on Israeli an side doesn’t mean I don’t care about civilian victims on Palestinian side, this point was simply already covered largely.

I think it’s mostly vengeance rage, they think the Hamas attack on civilians allow them to use any means to find the Hamas soldiers, including killing civilians. While some extremist parties may covertly push for actual genocide, I don’t think that’s what the military tries to do in general.
