I keep having the idea of a gamepad controller with choc buttons or minimum, all mechanical buttons.

The buttons and spacing might be a bit big but I think the thing im most worried about is a dpad pivot and how to make that compact.

RN my armchair idea would be to angle the choc switches at an angle rather than flat.

I should probably prototype a flat design to see how fat it is tho.

Happy #FightStickFriday Tuesday.

The first is a flatbox with pale blue choc switches, i designed the button caps myself.

the f300 has modified ls-62 and Crown buttons, modified to have a tiny 128x64 oled screen and a usb-c input. The case was spraypainted black and the decal I ordered from decalgirl. The artwork is by mikkynga!

Both of these run GP2040-ce firmware, you don't wanna see the internals of the f300 tho lol.

i dont really like 3DPN's normal content but i think he's very good at industry interviews in helping the company say what they want to say. which is a skill in its own right.

you shouldn't really look to him for challenging content but if you want to see Cool Machine Do Its Thing his interviews can be solid.

"The best X for makers" is a non-specific question because a "maker" is anyone who engages in either a craft or The Crafts.

Alternatively you use a 3d modeling program and a 3d printer. Or a lasercutter. Or a CNC. Or a cricut, etc.

im increasingly less likely to fuck with flatpak packaging thats not direct from the developers. All 3rd party maintained versions are "maintained" but are really just scripts that push the latest version with zero testing applied to them to make sure they work.

its primarily useful in stable OSes to begin with and came with a package manager which is why i liked it more than .appimages (which did not), I don't really need it in arch linux.
