I found an old QSL card for sale in Finland. It's QSO between F8JA and OH5NQ. The date in card is 1930-10-09. So soon 100 year old.

Anyone in France know if this station still exists?

Please boost for reach. Can we find anyone related to F8JA callsign?

@holgerschurig The call sign might belong to a radio club or it's been moving from family member to another.

It's a small change, but asking around was so small effort that I think it was worth a shot :)

@oh8hub We have no "moving from one family member to the other", at least I never heard about it.

French club stations have the format FxKyy where x isn't 8. So this four character long call sign is too short and does have an 8 inside, both indicating that this isn't a club station.

My man portable WWFF/POTA activation HF-radio setup in pouches:

  • Top black pouch: IC-705 + mic + 6m/2m/70cm telescopic whip
  • Below that: Powerfilm LightSaver Maxt
  • Bottom row, 1. left: Coax, power cables, PowerPole to whatever adapters, various USB-cables, headphones. I have extra stuff there today.
  • Bottom row, 2. left: 80m EFHW antenna, tent pegs, straps, cord
  • Bottom row, 3. left: pen & paper
  • Bottom row, 4. left: First aid kit (carry it always).
