How's everyone doing today? It's a busy time but I'm thankful for a lot of things, and trying to make the best of what I've got. Hope you all are doing well too!
Also, obligatory shoutout to #Emacs for being the all-in-one tool I need for literally everything...
It's been incredibly smooth, as is expected with a OS built around reproducibility and reliability! Honestly I wish I had more to say, but my experience has been nothing but incredibly positive. The pure order and solidity of all of the packages is just beautiful--enjoying using it every day!
Also on a random note, after 2 some years of being obsessed with #pool (#billiards --yeah, that pool) I finally got my own cue! Incredibly excited to play with it more
Been having a blast with #nixos ! Took the few days of vacation I had to completely immerse myself in the ecosystem (no more #pop_os for me...) and it's proven to be incredibly worth it. Such a great feeling to have an organized and declarative configuration! Like #emacs but for my operating system. Maybe that's why I like it so much?
Also, any advice on integrating #doomemacs with nix? Should I keep them somewhat separate? Saw that nix-community doom Emacs and am curious...
Hah, gotta love the #emacs community. Having mastodon.el (https://codeberg.org/martianh/mastodon.el) is awesome. Never doubted for a second that there'd be a package for all of my new Mastodon needs.
Also, unrelated--I've been pretty obsessed with this recomposition of Bach's Prelude 1 recently. If you have a moment, I highly recommend just closing your eyes, taking a deep breath, and bathing in some of these harmonies: https://youtu.be/Bc7281ZzTYE
edit: forgot to clarify--I'm writing this from within Emacs, of course...
Hey all! New to Mastodon and short-form social media in general... will mostly be posting about Emacs and other software adventures, but who knows? We'll see where the wind takes us.
