@gullevek @FlockOfCats my friend who got two sets of twins via IVF honestly was in floods of tears and considered aborting when they told her she’d got twins a second time, and i can completely understand her perspective 😅

Getting one or two stops back on a train to catch an empty train constitutes fare evasion. Many commuters think it would not be found, but not necessarily true. This is what friends of mine working as station staff told me:

  1. Ask all passengers to alight the train before it reverses

  2. Make sure that all passengers queue up before doors

  3. Do ticket inspection from the end of each queue

  4. Result in penalty fares of 200k to 800k yen in most cases.

desperately trying to persuade my daughter to want to get her hair cut (time issues, plus it’s impossible to get it to stay tied up for longer than half an hour…) and she tells me tonight,

“I want to be like that princess with no shoes and the purple dress!”

i.e. Rapunzel, the princess with literally the longest hair a princess has ever had 🫠
