@tk @Ariri @Rocc @dokuja @izaya @shibao with as much riding as this group does, i advocate for running with a catalytic converter. we don't do "the occasional track session", we use the fuuck out of our bikes. each of us puts down 1000's of miles each year.

i switched from a cat-less aftermarket to a stock exhaust when i bought my used CBR250R.

i'm looking at shorty levers for the KTM 390 ADV and see that the latest from CRG "feature replaceable Delrin lever tips" and i took offense to that ​:harumph:​

raise your hand if you've ever taken a metal file to the end of a lever after learning some lessons in the parking lot ^_^

@tk yeah that's my single concern, really. maybe an off-road helmet because the extra face-bash protection is NICE (yes i've landed face-down) and the sun protection is useful when actually off-road.

going on a survivorship bias, my shins and ankles have taken the brunt of the learning curve thus far... so that's what needs extra armor for sure

Got the K&N air filter in even though we couldn’t for the life of us get the Corbin saddle off. It took a ton of work, but we managed to get the tank off without also taking off the saddle. :blobfoxgoogly:

@tk i really think the entire industry has either lost itself or been put on cruise for the past 2 decades. i walk in to a shop and just like you i see the same stuff i saw in the 90's. and that's just the gear; you have to DIG to find gear that doesn't make you look like either a power ranger, pirate, or moto gp champion. that IS getting better, though. gonna hit up the local Honda shop next week and maybe find a new jacket. also my pants need modifying. the list goes on...

OH! now that i've had the KTM 390 for a year... the only thing it really needs is shorty levers. that's it. it's an awesome bike, i know you'd have fun on one for sure!
