Yeah… no.

The clutch would be to the left of both pedals in an automatic. Your foot rests in the empty space left of the brake pedal, usually there’s some kind of footrest roughly where the clutch would be. If anything you’d slam on that rest. Lifting your left foot off that rest (where the clutch you intend to slam would be) to hit the center pedal (which is where the brake is in any car) makes zero sense as a potential mixup. Not to mention it would feel extremely unnatural to operate a pedal so far right with your left foot if you tried.

Ich verstehe ja den Unmut, aber für mich ist die Sache recht klar: Entweder der Landwirt kauft die Flächen der Gemeinde zum üblichen Preis ab oder er muss damit klarkommen, dass der Eigentümer sein Eigentum mit Ende des aktuellen Pachtvertrages nicht mehr an ihn verpachten will....

Energie oder Essen Nahrungsgewinnung

Naja. 36% der Maisproduktion in Deutschland gehen direkt in Biogasanlagen, sind also auch bloß Energie, nur in ineffizient. Diese signifikante Fläche von 900.000 Ha könnte man über Nacht in PV-Anlagen mit einem Vielfachen des Energieertrags umwandeln ohne dass irgendwo ein Maiskorn fehlen würde.

Zum Rest, der für Futter draufgeht, möchte ich auch noch sagen: so toll ist das auch nicht. Der allergrößte Teil davon ist ja sicherlich Kraftfutter für die Massentierhaltung. Das kann man zwar nicht, wie den Teil für die Biogasanlagen, über Nacht einsparen, aber langfristig gesehen ist das auch nicht tragbar, dass Menschen so viel Fleisch verzehren, das so viele landwirtschaftliche Flächen bindet. Ich halte diese Menge nicht für schützenswert, sie sollte auf lange Sicht sogar reduziert und dann sinnvoller – für was auch immer, PV ist nur eine Möglichkeit – genutzt werden.

Literally my only gripe with Firefox is that the mobile version on Android frequently plays html5 Videos very choppy and you have to reload the page to get normal fps. Apart from that it’s the obvious, good choice.

Schön und gut aber irgendwie ist das komplett irrelevant für jeden der nicht ausschließlich Burger isst. Es ist ein Burger, kein post workout meal. Wenn man das alle paar Wochen mal isst ist das Aminosäurenprofil komplett latte.

Damn. The other day I received a notification from my local post app about something very important that has landed in my PO box when I had just arrived at home from work. I was curious and checked my emails for the exact time stamp of the delivery, turns out it was not “just now” like my Android notification implied but 12 minutes ago. Incidentally, 12 minutes ago was pretty much exactly when I cycled past my PO box being really disappointed that my package hasn’t been delivered yet, or so I thought at the time. Had to go back when I could’ve just picked it up on the original trip.

Stupid me thought it was the “optimised” per-app battery setting vs “unrestricted” that would control this.

Shit is weird, it was completely offline for a day or two but now I’ve been able to access it via app again for a couple of days, I can even post this from feddit.de. Meanwhile in the browser it appears entirely dead. As if the Lemmy instance is working again but the Apache is down.

It’s all relative to popularity. If it was about Rock and said AC/DC for Australia who would go hahahah AC/DC what a stupid name lololol are they making music about rectifiers? Parkway Drive is just one example that I was personally rolling my eyes over hard, but how is White Rat not a suitable name for a metal band?! To me it’s just being deliberately ignorant, that’s the whole joke, I don’t know these bands, such stupid names.

Das ist eigentlich super, da jetzt irgendein Gericht beurteilen und letztendlich bestätigen wird dass er ein empathieloses Arschloch ist und der Tweet lediglich eine sachlich faktische Aussage war, deren Aussprache jedem zusteht.

Der Punkt mit KI/selbstfahrenden Autos wägt leider nur ab ob es zeitnah möglich und gewollt ist es vernünftig umzusetzen und geht dann einfach davon aus dass es die Sicherheit verbessern würde. Wird schon so sein, dass eine KI pro Kilometer weniger Unfälle macht. Meiner Meinung nach steht die Sache aber im diametralen Gegensatz zum übergeordneten Hauptproblem der Verkehrssicherheit: es fahren einfach viel zu viele Kfz in Städten rum. Und das obwohl aktuell noch jedes Auto mit einer Person besetzt sein muss, was die Zahl ja auf eine natürliche Weise limitiert, wohingegen die Zahl der rumfahrenden Kfz nahezu nur noch durch das Investorenkapital irgendwelcher Fahrdienste/Mietfahrzeuganbieter/Lieferdienste gedeckelt ist. Oder in anderen Worten, aktuell “braucht” es im Schnitt 1,4 Personen um Städte mit einem Kfz zu vergiften, selbstfahrende Autos können diese Zahl quasi beliebig verringern, evtl sogar unter 1. Es müsste also mindestens so geregelt sein, dass selbstfahrende Autos nie unbesetzt rumfahren dürfen, aber ich habe das Gefühl genau das ist überhaupt erst der Beweggrund es zu entwickeln.

Im Gegensatz zu weniger Parkplätzen und Tempo 30, die ganz offensichtlich einen Vorteil für die Sicherheit brächten, scheint mir das mit der KI eher so ein Ding das man erst ausprobieren müsste bevor man sagen kann, dass es in Bilanz die Sicherheit wirklich verbessert oder nicht.

I was going to say there are no coyotes in Europe but my quick research revealed the somewhat similar golden jackal is at least native to southern Europe. So it is possible, but I’m leaning towards it being an adolescent.
