https://nexte.st/ is awesome. The expression language to filter for tests or simply display a list of available test made is "must-have" for me. #rustlang#rust
If there is one thing I would like to change in #rustlang it's the compile time. Stuck in a docker build loop, where I have to build from scratch anytime needs foreeeeever. 🦀
You should think that adding a local flake.nix with a package to home-manager and install the package is trivial. I'm trying for two hours but still no progress... Sometimes #nix is frustrating.
Now that my awesome #NixOS configuration has my #ThinkPad rockin' and rollin', I figured it was high time that my #MacBookPro received the same overhaul treatment!
Was finally able to get around to setting up Nix Darwin on it, as well as reconfiguring my tiled and transparent windows and custom taskbar! God, I love how #nix can make anything even more awesome!!! 🙌🤘 :apple: :nixos:
What a year for https://kellnr.io Went full open source, ported from rocket to axum and got the first external contributors. In 2024 I'll make the best #rust#rustlang registry even better.
It's really cool, but also a bit weird to me doing a #linux kernel training using #rust at microsoft. 90s me probably wouldn't believe C was still being used. I can see some good ergonomic improvements and statically checking things like reference counting. I have used static checkers for reference counting in C with the CPython API via a compiler plugin, but I'm not sure it is as "sound" as the rust for kernel abstractions. The linux driver future seems joyful.
