Thinking about that 2017 zine from Southern Illinois that set a bunch of regional #autonomy goals before this upcoming #eclipse on April 8, 2024. I'm sincerely curious about how they did and whether there will be a followup published.
Of course #23andme got hacked and the DNA profiles of 7 million users was stolen. This was obviously a bad idea from the beginning, made worse when it became clear these companies are cooperating with law enforcement, and now this. The most infuriating part is that if your bio-family members participate, you're basically now identifiable by association.
A segment of the Canadian far right appears to be pivoting again, pride months have mostly concluded and I suspect they've reached the limit (for now) of what they can achieve by protesting drag storytime events.
Now they're back to blaming immigrants for everything including inflation and the housing crisis. This is becoming a predictable shit-cycle at this point.

Ahhh #Peterborough, the land of flag-bearing pickup trucks, student hippies and more Tim Hortons per capita than anywhere I've seen. The culture war rages in this very rural city, and the sides look pretty evenly matched.
