Random 70 year old dude in a dispensary greeted me by saying "you're not one of those drug addicts are you?" ... Bro I'm just here to get my sleepy time edibles so my shoulder will heal... Then he follows up with "well, marijuana cured my Parkinson's disease"

"Cured it? Oh yeah?" I said incredulously. He assents. I said my dad just died from late stage Parkinson's disease, despite using marijuana, and that maybe he should keep it to himself because Parkinson's disease is not curable.

This B. Bread turned out really good, I think!

Two mashed bananas fermented with sourdough discard overnight gives it a really rich and deep banana flavor, with some zing from the sourdough. Half normal flour and half whole wheat flour, molasses, browned butter, pumpkin spice mix, walnuts, and a third banana sliced and folded into the batter to give some nice chunks of banana thru the bread. Didn't follow a recipe, turned out good!

Made some big fat UNREASONABLY sized pulled pork sandwiches for dinner tonight. Started yesterday with pork shoulder in the sous vide. made a quick Korean BBQ sauce with hoison, soy sauce, garlic, rice vinegar, gochujang. Made a quick Cole slaw dressing with mayo, Sriracha powder (from Costco, it is so great), sugar, and rice vinegar. Added pickles (the GOAT, grillo's), buns from the grocery store (I wasn't THAT fancy to make my own today).

Toilet is reinstalled, floor is as dry as I'll be able to get it. No new leaks as far as I can tell. It'll have to do for now. I'll start this week on ripping out my old boiler and all the baseboards. Once that's done I can start getting ready to build the new bathroom, that's as long as this current set up needs to stay stable

Actually sat down and played a video game today (valheim) and had a lot of fun.

It's such a great game for when you need a little peaceful escape, with just the right amount of action and adventure. I really do love that game. I think I'll play again tomorrow ! We started fresh characters on a new map and it's been fun getting our little farm going. Exciting!!
