Properly photographing a 3.5" floppy disk for archival is annoyingly complicated. The label has THREE sides!

I've already built an automated system to take a picture of the front of a disk, but really I need to take THREE photos if I want to get the whole thing.

That means either three cameras or I need to rotate the disk 90° and then 180°, which is going to really stress the limits of my mechanical engineering skills.

@whitequark how bright was the LED and under what environment did you look at it? unless my arduino code is broken, or signal integrity gnomes are visiting my breadboard, i can apparently see 0.5us flashes of a random green LED driven with a 10k resistor and 5v (if i put my eye right next to it. otherwise i can only see up to 2.5us, though i could probably do better in a darker room)

made a little dns client in zig after reading through https://implement-dns.wizardzines.com/ and learning that dns is far simpler than i thought
(right now it relies on the dns server doing the recursive resolution for it, but i might add support for doing resolution on its own)
