Housing and affordable housing should totally be a human right. Look at all the global inequality and how it keeps on growing, the Rich ๐ค / wealthy are accumulating and consolidating wealth ๐ค ... Locking people out of opportunities ๐๐๐๐ n the governments do nothing to protect their citizens from the legal corruption... In fact they help the corporations out.
If people who built nations and kept them running ( the workers / ETC) were compensated properly we'd all have housing, food, clean water ETC. It's called sharing the profits / wealth. But that's not what monopolies and people at the top ๐ฉ ๐ of industries do.
I mean US still got child labor ๐ญ till this day.
People that keep the countries running need to go on a strike / protest all at once for a week or two and demand some kind of equality from their government or otherwise no work no running economy!!
It's been done before and it can happen again if we can brave sharing food and water with each other for a week or more.

Sooo about 19 top fortune 100 companies in US paid virtually no tax in the last few years. If You can tax ALL companies, people and religions who are making money, You'd have quite a lot of money in the pot.
The money needs to go to military, I get it; but after that if You prioritize the homeless and the mentally ill, you'd see progress IMHO.
10% is just an example, maybe it should be more. But when (some) fortune 100 n 500 companies are getting away with paying no tax... I think 10% might work; as long as EVERYONE ( who's making money) pays. As long as the government takes care of , prioritizes the poor and middle class; things should be alright.
Sooo; if the government could collect 10 % flat tax from everyone and was able to subsidize housing, education, medicine and healthcare for everyone that needs it... Then I think ๐ค it might work, it'd get rid of tax loopholes and also allow everyone to do their own taxes simply.. 10% ... Just move a dot one over a number... Everyone could understand that.
As for the rich and wealthy classes their reward is still income. They just have to pay their "fair" share. And to me the same percentage across the board is equal/fair.

I mean they've no freedom n or democracy or hope of democratizing. Sure some countries are flawed democracies, even some in western Europe, n US also is another. But at least these countries have a potential to get to a Full Democracy status.
