Markus,

I stabbed myself in that soft spot on the hand, between the thumb and the finger you point with. That wasn't the painful part. I had to get stitches, they said the anesthesia injection would hurt as much as just having the stitches, so I agreed to do it without any anesthesia/painkiller or whatever you call those injections to numb the area.

That is the worst pain I've ever felt and I had to feel it twice, because as soon as I left the hospital, I let the hand hang down my side and the blood rushing there caused the stitch to loosen and blood to run out, so I went back inside and they grabbed both ends of the knot on the stitch with pliers and pulled to tighten them. That hurt so much that I actually made a little girly yelp that I've never heard myself make before or after.

Maybe I'm a wuss?

Markus,

I don't know what you mean by Gamings laptops are good. Compared to what? Has there been a rumor that they were bad? I might be missing context. I mean they're obviously not as good as desktops, but they're good considering the size and mobility

Anthro, to Bonsai

, decisions.

Time to find the inner tree. A couple years ago, I put this massive bend into the trunk. The whole tree has thickened and is so healthy a vibrant that it will be time to either repot and begin reducing soil volume or do one more massive reshaping (by removing a limb or two).

While I decide whether I can wait a year on repotting (soil tight, but tree health so good it must be working), I am exploring alternatives…

Markus,

@Anthro Nice movement, that's for sure.

Markus,

I feel like most of the comments are making a bigger deal out of this than it really is. "Hey guys, just FYI your frosted windows aren't frosted enough, we can see through them from over here, just thought you should know"

It's not really a complicated conversation.

Markus,

Here's the end result

Placed them directly in perlite and coco (80%ish perlite)

Markus,

Yes sir, just regular masonry/construction sand where all the smaller stuff is sifted out. I've been experimenting with different stuff over the years, this worked the best so far. I think it has something to do with how much air is in the mix.

I've already taken a lot of seedling cuttings from the tray, but a month ago it was absolutely full of trees.

I wish I could, but I don't have access to any good pines near me sadly. I usually just order online, plant a few 100 and keep the ones that thrive.

Mostly Japanese black pine and Scots pines, Mugo pine. I'm sure JBP would grow great in Australia. I'm in Scandinavia so I tend to stick to the more hardy pines.

They look good! What did you add on top of the netting to avoid the substrate spilling through?

The hooks are a nice touch.

I built this one, not as pretty but does the job of containing a massive boxwood yamadori

Markus,

I don't like the idea of clicking something every time. I like the RES implementation, where you just tick a checkbox once, in settings, to always collapse parent comments and their children as well. There's never a scenario where I want all the comments to be expanded by default.

Markus,

Thanks! It's not a lot of work if you only have a few small trees. But it's the kind of hobby where you end up with way more trees than you initially planned.

Markus,

You got the axe from a crate (Is that a thing?) or is Runelite being fucky?
