Apple’s long-rumoured foldable iPhone could finally become a reality if a recently awarded patent is any indication. This patent hints at a revolutionary self-healing screen.
Despite seemingly having nothing else in the pipeline and the AI Pin being dead on arrival, Bloomberg reports the company is “seeking a price of between $750 million and $1 billion in a sale.”
I could see it being useful if it was an accessory to your phone. Not having to dig my phone out of my pocket to take a picture of something to look it up, or having a push-to-talk badge or pendant would make it more convenient, especially for folks like me who don't wear watches. I asked this question in another thread but didn't get a reply, and I'm interested to hear an answer because I don't really have one: What would people expect their personal situation to look like if the economy were doing well? I remember back in the 90s during the Macintosh-Windows flamewars people would frequently make early image edits of Bill Gates as a Borg. Now they're doing it unironically.
I am automatically suspicious of anyone who's a patriotic American. Either they're ignorant of our country's history and are idiots or they're proud of it and are psychopaths.
Edit: I just realized I'm paraphrasing Patrick O'Brien:
But you know as well as I, patriotism is a word; and one that generally comes to mean either my country, right or wrong, which is infamous, or my country is always right, which is imbecile.
