My home servers currently consists of 3 old laptops and 1 old desktop computer, all these computers run Proxmox and clustered together.

Laptops:

  • HP ProBook 6470b
  • Packard Bell EasyNote
  • Dell Inspiron 1520

Desktop:

  • HP envy 700-204eo

On the cluster I have these things installed

Always running:

  • GitLab
  • Minetest server
  • Jellyfin
  • Nextcloud
  • Dashy
  • FreshRSS
  • BookStack

Not running:

  • VM with Linux Mint
  • VM with Haiku
  • VM with FreeBSD
  • VM with FreeDOS

I haven't tried to reset a BIOS before, so I am not familiar with the process of it.
Is it safe to attempt either (F6:Fail-safe Defaults) or (F7:Optimized defaults) ?
From the motherboard manual: "Inadequately altering the settings may result in system's failure to boot. If this occurs, clear the CMOS values and reset the board to default values."

A small Mastodon mascot is happy to roll out a red carpet to welcome the footsteps of Meta; a representation of the death, a skeleton in a black robe with a scythe. This one has a head band with the Meta logo, and a keychain with large logo of What's App, Facebook, Instagram and Threads. The skeletons walks happily while hidding the scythe on their back.
