This is not a healthy outlook, you should never look to be anyone’s favorite person. At least not how shes describing it. If you aloenate yourself because youre not getting the narcissistic supply you crave from a group then thats some codependency shit, and likely to land you in relationships with people that have personality disorders.
That’s one cool thing about having kids. The gasp of excitement and happiness that comes out of my toddler son when I return home brightens the darkest of days.
This would happen to me at the end of the first semester every year I was in college, and I’d become a recluse, and then wait until the next year to make a new group of friends, and repeat.
