I do have this issue occasionally. Here are a few tips:

  • make sure the metal contacts on the card are facing up (it may feel as if you're putting the card in upside-down)
  • don't force it
  • play with the angle a bit; I do find that these microSD card slots can be sensitive to the angle at which the card is being inserted
  • if all else fails, try removing the back cover of the device; this gives you a bit more room to play with, it can also release some tension (the other day, I couldn't get an SD card out of a device; when I removed the back, the card popped right out)
