The downside of being a classic watch person, today I got my Tissot PRX back from service and repair after it crashed on the floor (I placed it on the boot of my car while working and the key opened the lid remotely).
I paid about half of what the watch cost originally because the movement was damaged and they had to realign a couple of things.

Then again, a smartwatch probably would have gone to the trash.

Maybe I should get a g-shock for these situations....

Joking aside, I’d definitely recommend getting a “beater” watch for this kinda thing. People ay they’re “affordable” watches, but the £650 my PRX cost is a lot of money for me, especially for something as frivolous as a watch.

@kev I wouldn't consider the PRX affordable either, but yes, a daily beater watch seems a good idea. Given this experience, you never know when something is about to go wrong....
