May, This is the first Calvin and Hobbes comic I ever seen and if this how he acts why do people like it? Its just kinda sad for the babysitter :(
SpacemanSpiff, Calvin is supposed to be a 6 year old kid, like all 6 year olds he can be a bit selfish and unaware of how his actions truly affect others. The strips aren’t all like this. It’s also important to remember that Bill Watterson used the fact that many kids tend to intentionally do the opposite of what they’re told, simply because they’re told not to, for comedic effect throughout.
I think the next story arc I’ll do will be one that shows his other sides. I don’t want people getting the idea he’s one-dimensional :)
May, Ohh k. Im not very sure how it works following someone on kbin, but i followed you to see a next one you post * (but no pressure or anything!) I think for me im just so used to stuff from my own childhood, where everyone kind of a mary sue (ykwim? like mickey mouse clubhouse or rainbow brite or anpanman lol)
NotAPenguin, That's just mean :(
DoucheAsaurus, That's kids man, especially in the 80s lol
lavender, I am so happy to find this magazine here! I was missing these classics.
SpacemanSpiff, Welcome! Glad you’re here.
10A, "Creep" is putting it gently. Poor Rosalyn. The kid is a terror.
I've never explored C&H fanfic, but I'd love to see a story placed ten years later, in which Rosalyn and Susie meet up over lunch and talk about Calvin.
SpacemanSpiff, I can’t imagine how much Calvin’s parents had to pay her to keep coming back!
SpacemanSpiff, (edited )
