The federal government is tying incentives from its $4-billion housing accelerator fund to promoting zoning changes and the densification of Canadian cities.

Not entirely surprised here. Moffatt was one of the two housing experts to attend the cabinet retreat and he is a huge advocate for densification. It makes sense for the larger urban centres, especially Toronto, whose sprawl is completely out of control.
