Not a very clear or helpful distinction in my opinion. A bit vague. 🤔

It's like this thing of undefined length, but longer. 🤔

It has to be about a topic more important than chewing gum (unless chewing gum is very important to you?) 🤔

@JeremyMallin It feels more about level of conviction to me. An essay is when you have a few thoughts on a topic. A treatise is when you have thoughts of such strength and length that people around you are getting uncomfortable.
