@hszakher Due to your post I hesitated till now to boost the article - but I found that even Petra news in Jordan published it (Petra is mostly governmental news agency). @GRA3432@Sherifazuhur@jordan@palestine thanks for the link. the authorities in this case, according to Petra statement (which is repeating what's been circulating online, killing of a Jordanian in Hamburg) is #hamburg. could it be 1) there is death of Jordanian student, 2) that death has not happened in Hamburg 3) that death was not a homicide. in this case, both statements would be correct. 🤷♂️

@hszakher I'll wait and see. As the Jordanian authorities talk already about repatriating the body I tend to believe their view - over the Hamburg police whom I would not trust for five pence when it comes to the life of a muslim. @Sherifazuhur

@GRA3432@hszakher@ghazi thanks for that - but no, *it’s not irrelevant to question suicide when a predisposition against could be assumed. *police investigation now routinely includes social media accounts - just as Rami Fahim used this to argue schizophrenia in his double murder, this may be the reason for the media claim that the victim’s political views led to his death … *how would an Arab expressing pro-Gaza views or maybe wearing keffiyeh be viewed in such a gun club?
@Sherifazuhur@GRA3432@ghazi I get your point, I don't know how this investigation is being conducted. it could be that he got in a fight (as you hint), or was a friendly mishap, or was self-inflicted if he was just a beginner. the gun club itself made the news earlier, when mass shooter on JW in March trained there. so, one could ask "what a 21yo Jordanian student was doing in such a gun club to begin with" (for that the police stated that no indication of political or extremist background)

In the US, an Egyptian minister’s son (Rami Fahim, son of Nabila Makram) committed a horrific double murder. It seems easy for law enforcement to bury followup - & all speculation from his social media
