@StillIRise1963 He's one of my favorite comedic actors and now he's one of my favorite people. Not a lot of people have the power to speak out against a tyrant. Most people can't even recognize one.
"If you thought that Bill Gates might do the sensible thing, and keep a low profile after his wife pursued a nasty and public divorce over his ties to an international pedophile sex trafficking ring — you would be wrong. Being sensible is for ordinary psychopaths who are concerned about exposure, and can sense reputational danger. But if you’re a psychopath who is also the world’s third wealthiest human being and “on the spectrum” you probably don’t understand what exposure means because you’re"
There were a whole lot of things I was supposed to do today with both farm things and space junk things. But instead, we got a new livestock guardian puppy.
She's already getting along really well with our other LGD, though all the goat mamas seem pretty convinced she is a small bear and will need some time to come to trust her...
In my heart of hearts I know that #Trump is not more #narcissistic than other Americans. Plenty of white men have raped women, in fact at least a third have. The violence of ordinary Americans is such that it's not accurate to describe Trump as being worse. He certainly is the most vocal about his violence but the average white dude is just as violent. Ive experienced it thousands of times. Someone as resourceful & hard working as me could not be suicidal and homeless without American narcissism
It boggles my mind that the Washington Post knew about the insurrectionist flag at the residence of a Supreme Court "Justice" at the time it was flown -- but didn't tell the public what it knew until years later, the NY Times did report it.
@GrimmReality This is what I felt like at work with white people, nothing has changed. I know I'm not a black person during civil rights but damn, you could fool me some days with how virulently racist white people have become. They are still rabid.
We don't want to refer to people we love as evil but some are. Voting for Trump is an intentional act. Not paying your share of the meal when you're rich and your friends are poor is evil. Good people go out of their way to always be intentional to make sure they do no harm. The absence of this might not be considered evil by most but it is.
Teens and women in their 20's don't understand predatory men who prefer much younger women. It takes another decade or two to understand that and by then the damage is done.
Of the many double standards employed by the media, Biden needing every speech to be some combination of Lincoln and Cicero while Trump's public appearances are 90 minutes of word salad, non sequiturs, and dictatorial musings that get no push back, is among the worst.
@michelemccarthy They're both terrible public speakers and weren't great in school. Very mediocre. You don't have to be great but I'd never suspect we'd lower the bar to the point where we'd be debating over an orange predator and genocidal president who can scarcely string a sentence together.
@asbestos 1/3 of men in three different studies admitted to behaviors that are considered rape, as long as the word rape wasn't used. Recently, my friends new partner offered to get her drugs and alcohol and come over for a massage. Thank goddess she's my age and told him to fuck off. But it's bold for a man to assume women my age don't have boundaries.
Y'all want to hear a fact that really changed the way I thought about homelessness?
Half of all homeless people were in the foster system at some point. Social Workers often call the foster system The Highway to Homelessness. If you ever had a point in your life where you had to live with friends or family to for a short time to get back on your feet, remember that is a privilege that not everyone had.
@RickiTarr Even those formerly rich find out the hard way that not a lot of their friends and family will hold the door open when they move in. They may never speak to you again.
Social security judge, why do you need disability. Well it turns out that not having medical insurance for 15 years fucks you up a little. So does homelessness when they take away a home you put over $100k into.
Growing up in a diverse city and working in retail and food, my first jobs were nice. It was mostly POC. Then I moved up and was shell shocked by white peoples ordinary behaviors. I didn't know humans were capable of that type of pettiness and immaturity.
Okay, I wanted to make a joke that I can't possibly choose between dogs and cats, I can't even choose between men and women, because I'm bi-furrious. BUT I know y'all would make jokes about me in the comments, because you all are perverts. GET YOUR MINDS OUT OF THE GUTTER!
@alexpsmith@RickiTarr my friend is racist against cats, everytime they do something wrong she says, see that's why I hate cats 😂 But a dog pisses on her freshly cleaned floors and nothing...they're still the best.
When my sister sold her home, she had her white realtor come to show the appraiser around. She LEFT HER OWN HOME during the process. Right now, my college friend is removing all signs of Blackness from her home before she puts it on the market. All art, photos, statues are being packed. All books are being turned spine in. THIS IS WHAT RACISM DOES.
@StillIRise1963 They don't understand that concept at all. They literally don't. I can't tell you how many interviewers ask me what language I speak, assuming that I speak another language and when I tell them I have no foreign language skills they get angry. Now tell me that ain't trifling 😂
@StillIRise1963 Maybe their asses are trifling but they determine if I live or die and they choose death. White people deny they do this but I've overheard my white partners and friends say they'd never be black because of the way they're treated or that asians are treated white...giving away that they know politics very very well. But then deny it 😅
