doing some #maintenance on my #Arcade #Cabinet before moving it into my #TinyHouse. I've been working on this arcade cabinet for over 20 years now, I got it when I was 13 years old from a warehouse where it was rotting away for $25. It was originally a #Wonderboy cabinet from #Sega. I have full #JAMMA wiring inside and it runs real boards, but there is also a modern #PC inside for #Steam releases like #MortalKombat. The #Marquee animates, which is my favorite part!

The marquee itself is powered by a raspberry pi at the head of the arcade machine. The Pi connects to the PC inside via an ethernet cable and switch inside. This lets games launch scripts when I run a game in steam, which instructs the marquee to change when games are run. That way, each game on Steam has a matching marquee. Similarly, I can manually switch marquees using my phone. And, I have a real Multi-PCB that can interface as well. It's a chameleon marquee.

The cabinet used to originally have a CRT inside, but it died ages ago. I replaced the CRT a few times, but eventually finding a proper one proved to be too difficult, so I had to go with an OLED flat panel inside. Luckily the PC inside is beefy enough to use CRT filters inside of things like MAME to simulate the original phosphor look. This has been my pride and joy for decades of my life, my favorite project I've ever taken on.

@Hundstrasse I have quite a few PCBs for my cabinet, too. Mortal Kombat II Challenger Edition, Primal Rage, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, Killer Instinct, Wonder Boy 1, 2, and 3, Fantasy Zone II DX, Golden Axe: Revenge of Death Adder, Michael Jackson's Moonwalker, NBA Hangtime.

However, the best arcade boards I have for my cabinet are my authentic System 16, Neo Geo MVS, and Capcom CPS2. All 3 have proper multi-kits installed, so they encompass the entirety of Sega 16, Capcom, and Neo Geo.
