@begasus I always wonder if these ports will help make Haiku become a daily driver and increase the likelihood of more “native” apps appearing or it’d become just another over complicated Linux theme :-)
It surely is great to have something rather than nothing. Isn’t that the first viable mastodon client for Haiku ?
Haiku is already my daily driver here (mostly running on 2 laptops), I'm guessing that hardware support could still improve although it's gone up in a pretty descent direction (running it here on a HP ryzen laptop).
We've got a Terminal based mastodon client, afaik this would be the first GUI based on on Haiku, so yes.
My daily work a requires a Mac but I am thinking about putting this on a cheap laptop to get back into it more regularly (now that I can browse and use Mastodon and a terminal it already opens chill time possibilities). I currently have Haiku on an UmPC but I just forget about it when at my work desk.
@begasus I have enough PC hardware to play with it. I was just stating that sadly most of my work can’t be done on other platforms so I can’t make Haiku my daily driver but I can still make it my chill mode OS on other machines
